The MTA Growth Model is the developmental backbone of our organization. Rather than offering disconnected activities, MTA operates as an integrated ecosystem where athletics, leadership, mentorship, resilience-building, and life skills work together to develop the whole young person.
Every youth progresses through a 5-Phase Development Pathway—Identity, Leadership, Life Readiness, Movement & Wellness, and Community Impact. Youth revisit phases each year, but expectations increase by level—so growth is always new, deeper, and more responsible.

Peer Leader — supports younger youth during stations and models MTA culture.
Junior Mentor — mentorship training + supervised service hours.
Mentor-in-Training — Next Level Life Skills + leadership portfolio + facilitation practice.
Youth Leadership Council — helps plan events and service projects; represents youth voice.
